How to Prepare for CAT 2024

CAT is one of most difficult competitive exams in India. More than 300, 000 candidates compete year for a little over 5000 seats. Thus, you should be ready to face the challenges. In the long run, you read a lot of high quality material, such as daily editorials of a good newspaper, magazine, etc. You should also read some of the best seller books, novel, etc., making sure you understand all the difficult words and difficult sentences you come across. Thus, you will be able to improve your reading skills, vocabulary and grammar. Additionally, you will also be well – prepared for your Group Discussion and Personal Interview, GDPI as will be well - versed with national and international current affairs. For Quants and DI, you should practice basic mathematics from the 9th and 10th grades’ NCERT or ICSE text books. You should have very strong fundamentals before you join any CAT Prep course.

Keep in mind that if you join a course with the class size of 30 - 40 students, you may save some money, but you will hardly learn anything and your doubts won’t be solved. And if you are a very bright student, you will be wasting a lot of time doing the fundamentals you already know. On the other hand, if your fundamentals are weak, you won’t be able to understand anything, Thus, wasting your time and money. Hence, join a CAT Prep course in which the batch size is very small. An if your fundamentals are very strong, you may join an exclusive one to one CAT Prep Course also.
