The Hindu is the best for CLAT. Study the whole newspaper with a special focus on The Editorials. They contain good analyses and good words. Learn them. Doing so will improve your grammar, general knowledge and word power. Additionally, study functional grammar from Wren and Martin’s Grammar Book and practice exercises from well - known publishers.

Current Affairs and GK

Read The Hindu regularly including its Editorials. It will improve both your English and GK. Apart from that, read a good monthly magazine, such as Pratiyogita Darpan, regularly and do some exercises from the CLAT guides by well - known publishers. Manorama Year Book 2024 will give you an added advantage.

Legal Reasoning

The CLAT Legal Reasoning questions will be drawn from six to seven passages of 450 - 500 words each. These passages will have different legal situations or scenarios with legal matters, etc. The passages are drawn from non - fictional sources as policy reports and legal journals. The candidates need to understand, analyse and infer the correct information from the given passages.

To prepare for Legal Reasoning section, candidates must improve reading and analytical skills by reading newspapers and magazines related to static and current legal issues. They can also read newspaper and magazine columns by some of the prominent lawyers of India. Practice a few Legal Reasoning passages daily. While practising, do not let your biases or previous knowledge of the law affect your answer. Remember that the answer to the question is present in the given passage only.
